    18. 18. Structure of MMPI in the AMAESD<br />School teams attended a 5-day training of trainers in August ( all schools participated).<br />ESD staff also attended the training and are available to assist with training sessions in local schools.<br />

Getting Explicit About Reading (GEAR)<br />Purpose: <br />Strengthen schools’ current Response to Intervention framework<br />Provide training, resources, and support in diagnostic reading assessment and explicit comprehension instruction K-8<br />Expected Outcomes:<br />Common language in regards to diagnostic reading assessments and comprehension instruction<br />Consistency in instruction, intervention, and data<br />

    21. 21. Curriculum Initiative<br />Purpose<br /> To scope and sequence new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) K-12<br /> To develop Learning Targets in student friendly language<br /> To align CCSS with current GLCEs and HSCEs<br />

Curriculum Initiative Development<br />Districts commit to sending teacher representatives in grade spans <br />ESD Consultants facilitate teachers through process with uniform templates<br />AMA ESD creates curriculum documents for 2011/2012 school year<br />AMA ESD provides training on how to use the documents created<br />
