4. Why is UDP faster than FTP / TCP?
The main difference between UDP and TCP is that UDP wastes
no time communicating about the receipt of a block of data so
that regardless of network latency, data transmission remains
constant.

• Development started in February 2014 (prototype in Nov 2013)
• No dependency on Java Plugin for both Mac and Windows
• Light weight, install only when needed (inline)
• Security: PGP encryption, user prompts to allow/deny, ability to
hide certain parts of the local drive
• Support for both uploads, downloads with a transfer queue
• No server side technology required except for FileCatalyst Direct
