L’intérêt de cette pratique vient du fait que les plantes filtres l’eau pour les poissons, les poissons produisent (par leur déjections) des nutriments pour nourrir les plantes et les restes de plantes peuvent servir à nourrir des vers qui nourriront les poissons.
