  2. 2. • AnkiDroid digitalizes the flashcard concept to smartphones • AnkiDroid is an OpenSource project and free to use • AnkiDroid is coupled with Anki and AnkiWeb but does not share a common development team. • AnkiDroid has a clean and slim interface. • The user can create flashcards using text, images, audio, formulas, etc. • When reviewing the flashcards, there are choices of how well the user remembered the flashcard. Based on this choice, the card is shown again for learning in a specified interval (example on the right). AnkiDroid

Through learning a deck, the user levels up in this particular one. %safely remembered as guidance. Level can decrease and increase, based on performance/adding/cards etc. A higher level in a deck enables the user to skip cards (displaying them at the end of a learning session or after some time again). 2, 4, 8 The Shuffle Combining different decks to learn at the same time 3, 7 Learn better, save trees Display: "We saved x trees with using AnkiDroid instead of normal flashcards" 1 Brainstorming

Do you want to learn more about this topic? 5,7 Refreshing Content Messages of statistic of user at bottom of home screen 7, 3, 2 Streakdesign Streak count for days the user learned in a row. 2, 8 Brainstorming My aim for this brainstorming was to preserve the slim design of AnkiDroid and not overload it. The whole flashcard concept could be put in a different environment, with a lot more possibilities and motivational triggers. This wouldn’t be, as far as I can judge, what the development team of AnkiDroid and the community wishes. A more gamified experience of flashcards could highly motivate people but would need a different audience and introduction.
  13. 13. The journey on creating this presentation was enjoyable and eye-opening! Putting the framework to practice did a wonder on deepening my knowledge.
