Phase angle vs. Frequency In general the phase angle for RC circuit is given by <ul><li>When the frequency f increases, the X c become smaller and thus the phase angle decreases . </li></ul><ul><li>As the frequency increases, X C decreases, Z decreases, and the phase angle  decreases.
