  1. 1. Presentation on chapter four on three fracture<br />1)Compound fracture-involving loss of height of a vertebral body. It may be the result of trauma, but in older persons, especially women, it may be cause by conditions like osteoporosis.-decrease in bone mass that result in thinking and weakening of the bone with resulting fractures. The bone become more porous, especially in the spine and pelvis.<br />
  2. 2. Greenstick Fracture<br />Fracture in which there is an incomplete break one side of the bone is broken and other side is bent. This type of fracture is commonly found in children due to their softer and more pliable bone. Pliable – meaning flexible and easily bent or molded.<br />
  3. 3. Spiral Fracture <br />Fracture in which the fracture line spirals around the shaft of the bone. Can be cause by twisting injury and is often slower to heal than other types of fracture.<br />
