Renewable energy and sustainable urban designThe Preservation of environment and reducing the usageof traditional energy has become the aim that must beachieved whenever possible. The designers andimplementers of construction and in cooperation withspecialists in various fields related to constructionshould consider in the beginning of the urban planningproject, designs ideas that allow getting internalenvironment appropriate for the users of thisconstruction with the minimum amount possible ofenergy especially electrical energy.

Solar power Is heat that reaches the earths surface in the form of sunlight is one of the main sources of renewable energy. Figure
Solar Power : Solar heat that reaches the earths surface in the form of sunlight is one of the main sources of renewable energy non- exposed to finish and can convert solar energy into other forms of energy usable across five ways key: use direct sunlight, focus solar heat, convert sunlight into energy power. Wind energy: • Energy received from the movement of the wind across the earth. This energy is a result of the heating of our oceans, earth, and atmosphere by the sun.Figure 
Wind energy • in the past , wind movement was used in the operation of some equipment such as windmills to grind grain or raise water for irrigation . currently , wind power used to move the turbines to generate clean electricity that can be used for multiple purposes , where the distribution of a number of these turbines in the semblance of farms in the circumference to construction or around the cities are stored electricity generated and then distributed through a network of electricity to buildings .

Biomass energy It is the energy that can be obtained by using some organic materials such as plants or animals waste
Biomass(organic materials)• It is the energy that can be obtained by using some organic materials such as plants or animals waste . and it is a renewable energy because it is not need to long periods of time for its composition, such as a caol and petroleum. The oldest ways to get energy from organic valley is the burning of wood and other organic dry materials to grt the heat for cooking or for heating or water heating, which in turn is used to generate electricity . recently, animal waste or dermal used through decomposition in the anaerobic digester of the anaerobic digester to produce some gases such as methane, which in turn is used to run turbines to generate energy .

Example 1-Masdar city• Masdar will employ a variety of renewable power resources. Among the first construction projects will be a 40 to 60 megawatt solar power plant, built by the German firm Conergy, which will supply power for all other construction activity This will later be followed by a larger facility, and additional solar panels will be placed on rooftops to provide supplemental solar energy totaling 130 megawatts. Wind farms will be established outside the citys perimeter capable of producing up to 20 megawatts, and the city intends to utilize geothermal energy as well. In addition, Masdar plans to host the worlds largest hydrogen power plant
