  6. 6. Key Personnel Based in Jordan and heads up the Madison Digital Jordan operation. Upon his graduation from Cardiff University in 2001 as a Manufacturing Engineer, Hisham set up his own Web Design and Development company in Amman, Jordan. During that time, he foresaw the importance of digital, and as a results decided to pursue a career in digital marketing communications by joining the worlds leading direct marketing agency Wunderman ,where he set up their digital departments and offerings. During that time he earned the distinctive certificate in digital marketing, where he become the only certified digital marketer in the Hisham Faouri MENA region by The Institute of Direct Marketing in the UK. Hisham General Manager still holds this position today. Madison Digital Jordan In 2006 he joined Madison Digital as its General Manager launching Jordan’s first dedicated digital agency Hisham has worked with clients from different industries such as: Virgin, Aramex, BA, Safeway, Orange, Zain, Bank of Jordan, USAID, Mercedes and Nestle. As luck would have it his wife also works in “New Media” and together they have a son Mazen. Following in his parents footsteps you can be sure that little Mazen will be the new Bill Gates of Arabia!
  7. 7. Key Personnel Ziad Khammar is the Managing Partner of Madison Digital Dubai with more than 10 years of digital marketing experience. Ziad decided that the future was digital and this was the path he wanted to take, he has a wealth of digital marketing experience; he started by helping out a friend launch an online supermarket website in 1999 and since then has launched over a 100 digital marketing initiatives and much more for international and local clients. In 2000, Ziad joined the Publicis network as an executive with one of the first ever digital agencies in the region, eworks, and in 2003 became the GM and let it to continued success with esteemed Ziad Khammar clients such as British Airways, Nestle, Carrefour, Sanofi Aventis, Managing Director Cinestar Cinemas, Dubai Shopping Festival, and many more. JA is a ticketless airline selling over 60% of its tickets online through its website, Before where customers can book, pay, select their seats, and manage their bookings online.  Challenge: JA wanted an online marketing partner to assist in growing its business through the many channels the Internet provides  Our first and immediate recommendation was to redesign the website.  Our objective was to deliver better conversions to sale through an enhanced user experience

LG Mobile Cookie Phone Gets Playful Online We were approached with a challenging brief to launch and communicate the key features of the LG Cookie handset in a more engaging, fun, locally relevant and interactive manner while taking advantage of the data capturing opportunities to offered by the digital channel. Our response was to launch the Cookie Hunt, which is a virtual treasure hunt competition concept aimed at creating consumer engagement with LG Cookie phone where participants will get the chance to experience and sample the key features of handset The Cookie Hunt created buzz and word of mouth amongst the Cookie target audience in both markets. The conversion rate fluctuated throughout the competition at a staggering average of 48%. The campaign was successful in inviting the audience to engage with the product, understand its features and consider purchase, evident by the high conversion rate.   36. 36. Mood FM Fans and Listeners Push the Go Live Button Mood FM assigned Madison Digital to revamp and rebuild its website towards the end of 2008. Steering traffic away from the brand’s outdated website was a high priority to the station as it did not match its newly revamped brand image at the time. At the same time, the station was eager to announce to its audience that a new and exciting website is coming soon, however the station did not want to communicate this message using a traditional approach. Madison Digital approach was to launch a the ‘Pixel This’ campaign serving as an interactive countdown layer for the launch of the new website. The landing page of the site featured a pixilated image. Browsers were invited to click on any of the 5000 pixels that made Mood FM homepage during Pixel This campaign up the image and post a comment about Mood FM. Every comment uncovered one pixel of the ‘soon to be re-launched’ site. It was the first time that a local radio station offered its audience the chance to bring its website to life. The listeners felt special, emotionally connected, and proud to be part of this campaign, thus spreading positive word of mouth through viral marketing and various comments placed in the unveiling stage, in addition to leverage brand loyalty and advocacy amongst the loyal listeners. Jazeera Airways Low Fat Website Beats Internet Outage In February 2008 much of the Middle East suffered from an internet ‘outage’ caused by the damaging of two submarine cables under the Mediterranean Sea. The internet ‘outage’ was totally unexpected and its service interruption duration was difficult to predict. With 60% of its business flowing through the website, obviously 100% website uptime is essential. If access to the website is slow or limited, this would translate to loss in ticket sales and revenue. On the same day as the damage was discovered, Madison Digital commenced work to create and build a fully functioning and secure bi-lingual E-Commerce site for Jazeera Airways. The objective being to convert this ‘company-threatening’ incident into a Jazeera Airways Lite homepage commercial opportunity to win customer share from all airlines across the Middle East that rely on online booking and payment. We managed to bring down the site to a slim and athletic 10 KB that completely loaded in 3 seconds, even during the crisis period, yet still delivering its full e-commerce capabilities. The refreshed and revitalized Jazeera Airways Lite website was up and serving customers on the same day the outage started. Fabulous, because the internet ‘outage’ lasted for more than 2 weeks causing multiple E-Commerce focused websites and web dependant businesses to suffer.

  40. 40. Jazeera Airways Boosting Sales During Off-peak Hours During midday off-peak hours, a typical steep drop in traffic begins to take place on any website. This is usually related to people going out for lunch, picking up children from school, or doing own personal daily errands. Our challenge was to engage with the target audience during these times. Madison Digital proposed a Happy Hour concept which delivers exclusive daily offers during specific hours. The mechanics of such a promotion demands flexibility, immediacy, and most importantly a timed approach. Such requirements can only be achieved by the digital channel. As part of our recommendation, next generation web tools where used to generate viral and return visits to eventually build loyalty to the Happy Hour product, giving the user control and preference over the campaign communication channels. No other airline in the Middle East offers a regular Happy Hour, positioning Jazeera Airways as the only leading airline continually offering exciting promotions to benefit regional customers. Most importantly, visits to the Jazeera Airways website increased by 20% during off peak hours. The Happy Hour campaign has become an everyday part of the price oriented travelers, thus building and creating an emotional Happy Hour webpage on JA website yet rational bond between Jazeera Airways and its loyal customers.
