Status of MWAA Bid Packages • Package A – Design and construction of aerial guideway, stations, systems, and wayside facilities • Clark Construction and Kiewit Infrastructure South Joint Venture • Currently in design with 51% of the design packages submitted (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) • Construction ongoing at Dulles International Airport (aerial guideway, foundations, substructures etc.) • Geotechnical subsurface investigations, site survey activities going on all along Phase 2 • Acquisition of property rights underway • Package B – Design and construction WMATA Rail Yard and Maintenance Facility • Hensel Phelps Construction Company • Notice to proceed issued August 18, 2014 with construction to being in early 2015 • Completed the 30% Design Development submittal • Package S – Site preparation for WMATA Rail Yard and Maintenance Facility at Dulles International Airport • Atlantic Contracting and Material Company • 100% of existing soil stockpile removed with contract work near completion County Activities • Phase 2 Design Reviews • County Coordination • Town of Herndon • Adjacent Land Owners • Project Partners (MWAA, VDOT, DRPT, WMATA, Loudoun County) • Herndon ($58.7M) & Innovation Center Garages ($57M) • DPWES lead for design and construction • Land use approvals completed (2232 and Rezoning) • Design team onboard • Scheduled design completion - Summer 2015 • Scheduled construction completion – March 2018 • TIFIA Loan • Reston Town Center Parkway Funding Agreement Signed • Phase 1 Close Out and Punchlist Budget • Project Budget: $2.778B (includes contingency amount of $551M) • Approximately 14% of project budget expended 1 December 9, 2014
