  3. 3. The malaria protazoa develops in the gut of the mosquito and is passed to humans in the saliva of the insect as it draws a person’s blood
  4. 4. The parasite travels to the liver of the human through the blood stream

After 9-16 days the parasite then causes red blood cells to break down</li></li></ul><li>Causes<br />There are many factos that cause increase in infected mosquitos<br />Hot and humid or rainy climate increases the number of mosquitoes<br />Still or slow moving water to breed <br />In some areas like sub-saharanafrica having huts as shelters and home makes the population more open to the elements that allow the mosquitos to breed<br />

Effects <br />Common symptoms<br />Fever<br />Shivering<br />Pain in the joints<br />Headache<br />Vomiting and anemia<br />About 3,000 people a day die from malaria and people who survive may suffer different illnesses caused by the disease <br />Due to the low appetite of food the people who are effected, this could cause other diseases to occur <br />
