  1. 1. The Revolution of Women’s ClothingWhen we say “revolution” it connotes to uprising and tagging it with the phrase “women’s clothing” it equates to the uprising of women’s clothes in terms of design and style.
  2. 2. Well you can say that in the 60’s up to the 80’swe experience the fashion revolution especially in women’s clothing and it can be considered as a revolt against traditional clothing style.
  3. 3. We saw the 60’s as the first fashion revolution as the youth has chosen to give rise to their ownstyles instead of wearing the traditional clothes mass produce by manufacturers. The Sixties is an era of fashion revolt, unusualhairstyles influence of bands. It is considered asthe Psychedelic years where mini- skirts and the hippie look was born.
  4. 4. The 80’s like the 60’s is a bold, colourful andextreme era. It has brought back some of the 60’sfashions like the mini skirt but the difference was during the sixties, mini skirts are paired with boots and in the 80’s, it was worn with tights or leggings.
  5. 5. Movies, TV shows, MTV’s, actors, singers and bands are the influences during the 80’s.If the 60’s has the hippie look, the 80’s got the punk rock and Madonna look.
  6. 6. Today, fashion revolution is becoming a trend inalmost every country. Thanks to the popularity of the internet, a fashion style can go viral in a matter of minutes. This is the big difference and it lies in the fastpaced world of today where news and events canbe seen when it happened and how it happened and can be view by almost anyone and almost anywhere.
  7. 7. The youth has taken over in terms of fashion statement. It is not only the famous designerswho dictate what is in style or not, but the powerof the youth in terms of their number has become a silent influence on fashion.They can dress whatever they want thus creating a trend of their own.
