Meals on Wheels Vulnerable seniors are at
the greatest risk amid COVID-19. Local Meals
on Wheels programs are on the front lines
every day, focused on doing all they can to
keep older Americans safe and nourished in
communities across the country. Donate or
volunteer.
BAKE FOR YOUR
NEIGHBORS
Surprise your neighbors by baking them
cookies, cakes or pies. Ring their doorbell and
leave a note. Or maybe you want to take a
healthier route with an assortment of fruit.
PLANT GARDENS
With more time at home, many have the
opportunity to start their summer gardens early.
Sow seeds now, if the weather looks like it will
support early planting. Now may be a good
time to plant kale, lettuce, snow peas, broccoli,
asparagus and spinach. Or if indoors, consider
planting some herbs. All will be good to share
with your neighbors in time.
ORDER TAKE OUT
Many restaurants still open and struggling to stay in
business.� Some offer curbside pickup and others
have delivery services. Additionally UBER EATS is
currently waiving their Delivery Fee on any order
from a local restaurant.
