  1. 1. Electrical Circuits
  2. 2. <ul><li>Circuit- a closed path through which electrons can flow. </li></ul><ul><li>Ex: When a lamp is on, the current moves through the circuit causing light. </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>There are 2 types of circuits </li></ul><ul><li>1. Series Circuits- the current has only 1 path it can travel along. </li></ul><ul><li>Ex: Christmas lights. One bad bulb can cause the entire string of light to go out. </li></ul>
  4. 6. <ul><li>Parallel circuits- contains separate branches for the current to move through. </li></ul><ul><li>-The current is split up. More current flows through the path with the lowest resistance. When one path is close, the current flows through a different branch. </li></ul><ul><li>Ex: Lights in homes and schools </li></ul>
