SHARING IS CARING …OR Using the Evans Library Shared Calendar

  2. 2. Right-click My Calendars to add a Shared Calendar
  3. 3. Type the name of the calendar you seek, and then select it from the list.
  4. 4. Our shared calendar contains the reference schedule and staff “out” days
  5. 5. Select the Evans Library Calendar – be sure that it is the active calendar. All library staff can add OUT information and edit their own appointments.
  6. 6. Free Initials - OUT Save and Close New Appointment Date, All day event
  7. 7. Voila
  8. 8. Reference librarians can edit their own and others’ appointments. Open the occurrence. Double-click to edit. This makes re-scheduling reference appointments easy.
  9. 9. Write a message to explain the change. Remove yourself and add invitees.
  10. 10. Send updates to added and deleted, or to all attendees.
  11. 11. Open the appointment and click Tracking to see who has accepted or declined.
  12. 12. Keep only the invitee who has accepted, and update the initials. Send update to all attendees, so everyone knows who has accepted and declined. Write a thank you, if you’d like.
