Day1:HanoiArrivalDinner in our hotel, the award-winningSofitel Metropole 5* DLX.The first time that this stunning,old- world charmer of a hotel offeredstrictly dining was to PresidentShimon Peres and his entourage in2012. They can’t waitto do it again, for US!!This is one of the world’s finest hotels- a French colonial-style hotel locatedin the heart of Hanoi. We will be herefor 5 glorious nights!!HOTEL: Sofitel Legend Metropole HOTEL 5*Day2:HanoiAfter breakfast, we’ll leave for Hoa Binh Province,where we’ll take the boat trip on the Da river to seehow the Muong ethnic people live. We’ll visit a homeand enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Lunch, sent from thehotel’s kitchen, will be taken along the way…On the way back to Hanoi we’ll stop at the Ho Chi MinhTrail Museum. The legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail was thesupply line used by North Vietnam to link North andSouth Vietnam during the American War. Soldiers,ammunition, weapons and supplies were carried byhand, bicycle and truck for hundreds of kilometersthrough the otherwise impenetrable jungle thatcovered Vietnam’s mountainous border with Laos. Atestimony to the ingenuity, fortitude andcommitment of the northern Vietnamese, the trail slipped from use at the end ofthe war and was taken back by the jungle.Dinner and overnight - Sofitel Metropole.Day3:Hanoi-Ha LongBayCruise–HanoiBreakfast at HotelWeather permitting, we will divide into 2groups; one will take the helicopter to HaLong Bay, the other will return by helicopter
  3. 3. from Ha Long Bay. The other legs will be by bus so as to enjoy the sights and thelocal handicrafts centre en route. (If you prefer, you can take the bus or helicopterthere and back!!)After boarding our tour boat, we’ll be served the lunch prepared on board withfreshly caught fish and other ingredients we supply. Then, we’ll take a cruise forabout 4 hours between the limestone outcrops and long corridors, visiting THIENCUNG DAU GO cave- the most beautiful cave in the bay.Dinner will be in a delicious Vietnamese Buddhist Vegan restaurant, with the foodprepared in the presence of our Mashgiach, of course. O/N – Sofitel Metropole.Day4:HanoiDay5:HanoiAfter breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit some ofthe major Hanoi sights: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleumand Museum, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple ofLiterature, Hilton Prison, and the Ethnic Museum.After lunch, there’ll be free time for shoppingand markets before candle-lighting at 17h20.Dinner in our hotel, The Sofitel Metropole.Davening and breakfast will be followed by a guided walking tour of the city in whosecenter we are staying to see the Hoan Kiem Lake and the Ngoc Son Temple. Lunch willbe in the hotel and after a rest we’ll be charmed by Hanoi’s old quarter.Straight after Havdala, 18h20 we’ll experience the excitement of Hanoi’s trafficfrom up close with a tour on the famous “cyclo” taxis before going out for anothersuperb vegetarian Melave Malka!!Day6:Hanoi-HueIndulge yourselves with a leisurelybreakfast before we leave for our mid-dayflight to Hue. Lunch will be supplied fromthe hotel to be eaten during the flight!!Once in Hue, we’ll visit the Dong Bamarket, the Imperial Citadel from wherethe Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802and 1945, and the ruins of the PurpleForbidden City

Dinner in another fabulous hotel: La Residence 5* DLX where we’ll be staying forjust 2 nightsDay7:HueAfter breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a boattrip on the famous Perfumed River to visit ThienMu pagoda, the Forbidden city and Khai Dinh tomband if time permits we might visit the DMZbetween North and South Vietnam to help ourunderstanding of that terrible war.We’ll eat a picnic on the move for lunch andreturn to the Hue La Residence for dinner andovernight.Day8:Hue–HoiAn–HCMC (Saigon)We’ll breakfast early at thehotel, before setting off bybus on the journey to Hoi-An.A walking tour of Hoi An’slovely ancient town, with itsJapanese bridge and PhucKien Pagoda, includes a visitto a silk factory and market.We’ll bring lunch and dinnerwith us from Hue and afterthe tour of Hoi-An we’ll takean evening flight to HCMC,enjoying the dinner on theflight!!Hotel: Sofitel Plaza 5* where we’ll stay for 3 nightsDay9:HCMCBreakfast at the hotel. Then we’re off to the Chu Chi tunnels, around 75kms westfrom Ho Chi Minh City, and visit the Vietnam War related site. Picnic lunch.On our return to the city we’ll visit the Re-Unification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedraland the General Post OfficeDinner in our specially koshered restaurant before retiring – the Sofitel Plaza
  5. 5. Day10:HCMCDay11:HCMC –SiemReapAfter breakfast in the hotel,we drive to Vinh Long in theMekong Delta region. Herewe’ll take a river tour ofthe Cai Be floating market.Then we’ll experience aneasy bicycle ride in VinhLong, visiting a fruit farmerand tasting his deliciousfruits.Back to HCMC for dinner inour koshered restaurant andto the Sofitel Plaza to sleep!!Breakfast at the hotel before wetransfer - to HCMC airport for ourflight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.On arrival, we’ll start our tour ofthe great Angkor temples complex.In the afternoon, we’ll come to ourhotel, the Grand Hotel Raffles 5*DLX, the sister hotel to the world-famous Raffles of Singapore. Lunchwill be ready for us and then therewill be time to relax, swim and prepare for Shabbat, 17h45. Here for 3 nights.Kabbalat Shabbat and Dinner will be in our hotel.Day12:SiemReapDavening and breakfast at the hotel.Perhaps by the pool – something verymemorable!!During the day we’ll not only relax, butalso take a walking tour and visit theAngkor Museum and a local temple. Allmeals will be in the hotel.After Shabbat we’ll go into the old town toenjoy the nightlife of this verycosmopolitan, modern, buzzing township – the main source of tourist income forCambodia.
  6. 6. Day13:SiemReapOur last full day will be used to explore Angkor further. Our tour will include: theruins of the city of Angkor Thom with its unique structures such as The Bayon, ThePhmeanakas, The Terrace of the Elephants and more. We will learn about the ancientways of life and the historical events from the bas-reliefs inscribed on the walls. Wewill also visit the unrivaled mighty Angkor Wat, which is the biggest structure leftalmost fully intact, with its huge surrounding moat and corridors. And in Tha Phromtemple we will be able to value the great power of the jungle.As evening falls we’ll climb Bakheng Hill to watch the magnificent sunset over thegreat plains.Farewell Dinner in our HotelDay14:SiemReap-DepartureBreakfast at the hotel.Our finale will be an excursion by boat onTonlé Sap Lake to watch the floatingvillage and the surrounding rice fields onthe way. (See what the boy standing hasaround his neck?) Return to the city andvisit Artisans d’Angkor artists school fortraditional crafts.We’ll then eat a late lunch / earlydinner before we transfer to the airportfor departing flights.
