Libraries… Librarians  With their expertise in search, metadata generation, collection development librarians should actually be well positioned to understand and implement linked data. With developments of Resource Description & Access (RDA), Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), and Functional Requirements for Authority Data (FRAD) standards libraries are now in the transition towards linked data
  4. 4. Linked Data is about using the Web to connect related data that wasn't previously linked, or using the Web to lower the barriers to linking data currently linked using other methods
