How it started <ul><li>1983 Children and youngsters had to live in psychiatric hospitals; first start in a special school in Gleisdorf to change their situation </li></ul><ul><li>1986 foundation of the association Chance B </li></ul><ul><li>first enterprise with 3 staff members for vocational educational training </li></ul><ul><li>establishment of the first early intervention service in Styria </li></ul><ul><li>1991 establishment of the first supported employment agency in Styria </li></ul><ul><li>1993 establishment of the first ambulatory (physiotherapy, logopedia, ergotherapy, music therapy) for the target group persons with disabilities with a contract with social insurance </li></ul><ul><li>1994 foundation of the first not for profit limited enterprise (including the association Chance B and 12 communities as stakeholders) </li></ul><ul><li>2009 1700 persons with disabilities are supported in their lifes in all the districts of the eastern part of Styria (240.000 inhabitants) </li></ul>

Together we can make it real <ul><li>To make it real, that ageing persons, sick persons and persons with a disability can live their life in the districts of eastern Styria, enjoying quality of life </li></ul><ul><li>Chance B‘s principles: </li></ul><ul><li>to be able to live in the own village / town </li></ul><ul><li>services, person centered </li></ul><ul><li>to work for the region within the region </li></ul><ul><li>services in cooperation with other organisations of the region, with the responsible authorities, medical doctors, labour market agencies, ... </li></ul>

European funded projects with international participation are started Accessible houses are under construction A new restaurant in Mühlgasse as new training enterprise is under construction For counselling, healthy ageing, case management, social shop and voluntary work concepts are in development
