  2. 2. 2 ITELab (Initial Teacher Education Lab) is co-ordinated by EUN and co-funded under the European Commission’s Erasmus+. The project runs from January 2017 to December 2019. It is a Knowledge Alliance project between higher education institutions and industry, with the participation of policymakers to exchange information and shape recommendations. ITELab focuses on the development of digital pedagogical skills of future teachers, with three strands: monitoring and research; co-design and piloting of new content; knowledge exchange through an online ITE Forum. ITELab sits under the umbrella of European Schoolnet’s Future Classroom Lab initiative, to create a sustainable ITE Forum for on-going exchange between policy-makers, universities, industry in this priority area of initial teacher education. MONITORING ITE Research: how training in the pedagogical use of ICT is covered within ITE curricula in Europe CPD resources: Existing OER resources that could be used with student teachers Teacher educator competences: required by the teacher educators to ensure adequate ICT training for student teachers Three main activities: Participation: Send us research links (on-going) Send us links to OER resources (on-going) Complete our surveys Receive our monitoring reports and case studies Help us disseminate the reports through your own networks

CO-DESIGN AND PILOTING OF NEW CONTENT Two different types: Participation: MODULES: - For teacher trainers - Training student/beginner teachers at either Primary or Secondary level - Choice of three modules, developing competences based on DigCompEdu. - Flexible implementation options: activity, unit, whole module. MOOC : - For student teachers - Self-directed, online, free, 4 weeks - Share and learn with peers, building your community - New ideas and practical application to teaching - Digital badge for assessment Read the materials, attend the online briefings and invitations to observe Register your interest in participation (Modules, MOOC) Plan into your curriculum and assessment, where applicable Disseminate through your networks, encourage student teachers to experiment by joining the MOOC.

  11. 11. 11 The Networked Teacher – teaching in the 21st century The Networked Teacher - teaching in the C21st , registration and hosted on EUN academy. Note: 2018 version remains online for reference until December 2018 Introduction for student teachers by MOOC lead, Bart Verswijvel Free, online short course for student teachers. Self-directed.
