  1. 1. Recycling For Carnival Making A Papier Mache Mask
  2. 2. <ul><li>Balloon </li></ul><ul><li>White Glue and Paintbrush </li></ul><ul><li>Used Paper OR Tissues Cut into Strips </li></ul><ul><li>The Outline Of a Mask </li></ul><ul><li>Decorations </li></ul><ul><li>Wooden Stick and straw </li></ul>Needed:
  3. 3. <ul><li>Inflate the balloon and draw the outline of your mask, either manually or use a picture as a stencil. </li></ul><ul><li>Put some white glue in a cup and add some water to it. </li></ul>Process:
  4. 4. <ul><li>Place a strip of paper on the balloon within the lines of the mask and soak it with the glue mixture. </li></ul><ul><li>Repeat until you have covered the mask with about 10-12 layers. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>Leave it to dry for about 24 hours, making sure that the balloon does not burst. </li></ul><ul><li>Then remove the mask from the balloon and cut the mask the shape you want. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Paint your mask the colour you want and leave it to dry. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Decorate your mask to your liking. </li></ul><ul><li>In this case some lace and glitters were used. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>You can either attach a string to both sides of the mask and wear the mask or you can use a decorated piece of straw with a piece of wood in it to keep it in front of your face.. </li></ul>
