SCIENCE & MATHS projects winners and runners up <ul><li>A year long project 2008/2009 </li></ul><ul><li>Pupils are encouraged to explore and discover fascinating physical and chemical phenomena in experiments in an exciting and interesting way. </li></ul><ul><li>WORK PROCESS </li></ul><ul><li>Teachers explain the basic points of the project to the class </li></ul><ul><li>Formation of groups: students form working groups in each European class made up of two or three members. </li></ul><ul><li>Election of experiments: each working group selects three or four experiments, makes contact in the TWINSPACE with other partners from different schools working on the same experiments. </li></ul>A short summary 1/2

Creative use of digital media (prize sponsored by eSkills Week ) <ul><li>A year long project 2008/2009 </li></ul><ul><li>The project brings together one primary school from each of 30 eTwinning countries from all around Europe, who sing a song that is representative of their own country. </li></ul><ul><li>All 30 countries view the songs on the project’s blog http://schoolovision2009.blogspot.com </li></ul><ul><li>and then vote for their favourites. </li></ul><ul><li>The winning school ZS Husova , in Brno Czech Republic </li></ul><ul><li>has received a special trophy and has been crowned Schoolvision champion. </li></ul>A short summary
  9. 9. SCIENCE & MATHS / Digital Skills winners – Common features <ul><li>They are both year long projects . </li></ul><ul><li>The pupils played an active role in the projects. They help each other in the learning and use of ICT skills working in teams and sharing knowledge. </li></ul><ul><li>Creative learning and teaching methodologies have been a significant and highly successful element within both projects. </li></ul><ul><li>Staff communication, pedagogical exchanges and project development have been facilitated through a strong use of ICT and communication tools. </li></ul><ul><li>The project activities lead to the greater involvement of parents and communities in all the European partners and has encouraged and contributed to local and European community cohesion. </li></ul>
