Villaviciosa de
Córdoba is a
Spanish village in the
province of Córdoba,
Andalusia.

It is a nice
village, small
and cozy It is
in the north
of Cordoba,
in Sierra
Morena.

FESTIVALS

6. Virgin of Villaviciosa
(‘Small’ Fair)
Procession of the Virgin of
Villaviciosa
It begins the day before the
patron saint's day, with
fireworks in her honor and
ends the next day , on
September 8.

7. AUGUST FAIR or the
Assumption
‘Noon fair’
It usually begins the
day before the
Assumption Day
(August 15) and ends
on August 18.

8. Pilgrimage of San
Isidro Labrador
The Saturday closest
to May 15, the town
moves to a beautiful
landscape where a
mass is celebrated in
honor of San Isidro
and spend all day in
the Pilgrimage..

9. Carnival
The carnival is
celebrated annually in
the month of February.
It consists of two days
(depending on the
year), people are
dressed up
imaginatively and
originally with varied
costumes.

10. Tomillos Day:
January 19
At night, thyme
branches are burned
in the streets. The air
is filled with its
fragrance and people
dance around the
bonfires.

town hall, a park, a
football pitch , the
patio of Cantaor
Juanito Maravillas ( a
flamenco singer ), a
library, the ‘Cultural
house ‘, a school, a
high school, a church
and a hostel.

SAUSAGES ARE
MADE. ALSO HAMs are
drIed and distributed
across the village and
outside Villaviciosa. Also
abroad, in France, for
example.

is a process of
transformation and
modernization with the
sole objective of
providing the best
services to our people.

from the village
through
centuries.

18. Inside
Inside the school , we have a very colourful hall, decorated by
purple hands,big posts, and walls decorated with paintings .

19. In the hall, we have the pet of the school inside of a crystal
box, and a fishbowl, with some types of fishes. A lot of
trophies are in a showcase, just under the crystal box of
our pet.

20. Erasmus Project.

21. We hope this project will be a good experience for us all, a
great opportunity to see more parts of the world, to get to
know different cultures, to make friends, etc.

22. In the last Erasmus project ,a trip was held on October 8 until
October 15, 2016. Me and my 4 friends were in Poland,
and it was an unforgettable experience.We visited several
places to learn more, and at school we did some fun
activities. In this project it is going to be the same, but in
Spain !!
