“Tag you’re it” RFID in UCD Library and tagging 30,000 items Tony Clarke & Aoife O’Brien, UCD Library In summer 2008 UCD Library transferred our Short Loan (48 hour) collection to RFID technology. Approximately 30,000 books were tagged over a 3 week period. Two RFID self service machines were initiated and the first 3M C-Series self-return unit in Europe was installed. 3M Gates 3M Pad LMS 3M DLA 3M C series 3M Self Check Book drop HOW it works WHAT we used HOW we did it 1 3M R-series self-issue -The collection was weededThe book barcode isscanned machine - A team of 3 people worked best.
