  1. 1. Catalonia SARDANA  The sardana is a type of circle dance typical of Catalonia, Spain.  The origin of the sardana is not clear. Some say that it was already popular in the 16th century.
  2. 2. Aragon JOTA  For their interpretation, guitars, bandurrias, lutes, dulzaina, and drums are used in the Castilian style, while the Galicians use bagpipes, drums, and bombos.
  3. 3. Andalusia  Flamenco  A typical flamenco recital with voice and guitar accompaniment, different “palos “ .  Flamenco dance is known for its emotional intensity, proud carriage, expressive use of the arms and rhythmic stamping of the feet.
