  14. 14. Northwest Passage• European traders hoped the water route cutting through North America is a much faster way to reach Asia.
  15. 15. Trade Network• A system of trading among the American Indian tribes in eastern Canada.
  16. 16. Agent• One who is authorized to act for or in place of another.• A representative.
  17. 17. Armada• Fleet of warships.
  18. 18. Profit• Money left over after everything has been paid for.
  19. 19. Pilgrim• A person who makes a journey for a religious reason.
  20. 20. Compact• An agreement.
  21. 21. Mayflower Compact• An agreement was to keep orders for all on board of Mayflower and it was signed by 41 men.
  22. 22. Interpreter• A person who translates the words that someone is speaking into a different language.
