  • Digital technology – including Mobile, Social and Video – has transformed the way we work – making ourlives 1000X easier, and fun! (e.g. connect/engage with hundreds of friends in seconds, do business on the go, watch content on our own time).But where it goes from “cool” to game-changing is where these mega-trends converge. For example, before spending 2 hours of my valuable time watching movie (that looked cool based on the description or movie poster), I can watch a quick video preview over my phone and and see ratings from my friends who watched the movie - all “on demand”. If I don’t like the preview, I can watch a few others in minutes and find the perfect movie. I’m able to use mobile/video/social tech to quickly make a more informed decision of which movie to actually go see in person. (If I prefer, I can even stream it to my iPad via Netflix)The digital world is not just for fun. It’s completely transformed how BUSINESS works – how you manage your supply chain, how you sell your products & services, and how you connect with CUSTOMERS. [personalize to company & industry]But what about HR and recruiting? How are we using mobile, social and video to better connect with and engage our own employees and candidates? How are we using digital to broaden our net and see more candidates in less time, while providing a more personalized and consistent experience?[DISCOVERY – APPETITE FOR CHANGE & INNOVATION: How has your company embrace new technology? ]
  • While we’re making great progress, some companies are still stuck in the dark ages. Especially when it comes to how youscreen, submit, share and interview candidates.Static resumes, phone calls and “blind interviews” are not the most objective, personal or efficient way to find candidates, especially when you have a lot to choose from.
  • Companies stuck in the old era are experiencing an unsustainable bottleneck.Most have digitized some things. For example, the front-end of recruiting over the past decade starting with careers sites and job boards- and more recently mobile and social technology. We’ve also digitized and automated things like background checks, onboarding, performance reviews [DISCOVERY READOUT: understand you have made good progress in these areas – social sites, ATS, etc]. However these advancements have actually created an incredible problem for many companies – technology has made applying to jobs, and searching for candidates, so easy, it has led to unprecedented candidate volumes. This has created a this bottleneck and it happens to be in the MOST IMPORTANT part of the recruiting process – screening and selection – where delays and errors in hiring decisions are creating a material impact on the business.
