• We will be covering the Who, What, When
Where, Why, and How of virtual schooling and
the Rajstein school district
• We will discuss potentials and challenges for
you and your student
• We will provide useful links to increase your
knowledge
3. Who & What
• All Michigan students must fulfill an online
requirement for graduation
• This includes all students attending Rajstein
High School
4. When & Where
• This requirement is ongoing throughout your
student’s high school career
• The online learning will take place in the
computer labs and in the classroom
5. Why & How
• The Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
requires students to have an online education
experience
• To meet the requirement, students at Rajstein
High School will have a minimum of 20 hours
online in their social studies and science
courses
6. Potentials & Challenges
• Students who are familiar with online education:
• Gain experience for future careers
• Collaborate with others
• Develop lifelong technology skills
• Success comes when students are:
• Self-motivated
• Not afraid to try new technology
• Willing to work with others
