And they said it couldn’t be done in one trimming!
Founder Pony By Equimove Master Farrier Jerry Linker
Jerry Linker works on 36 yr. old founder pony

This Pony was a rescue situation and was under the care of veterinarians and Farriers. They told the owners you could only take a quarter of an inch per trimming. Over a period of years the pictures show you the results. The pony was in terrible pain and could not even walk the hooves were over 7 inches long the heel from hair-line to ground was four inches long. I started to work on this pony on Feb. 22 and took her from 7 inches of toe to 2 and 3/4 inches of toe. I took her heel from 4 inches to one inch leaving her a nice flat base to walk on. The next day this pony is walking and grazing in the pasture, moving around with all the other horses. This pony is also 36 years old. She has a much better look in her eye and will be able to live out the rest of her days comfortably as we will oversee her feet here at our farm from now on. The name of the previous owners, Farriers, and veterinarians were left off out of respect for these people.
