For the automotive aftermarket, the ability to source parts is key to successful customer service. With Epicor Eagle Advanced Special Orders, you can easily order, track, receive and deliver special orders. Here’s how. When a sales order is not in stock, a counterman can use the Epicor Parts Network (EPN) to check stock and order parts from within the point of sale. You can place a special order directly on a sales order or an estimate, without having to create a separate document. You can even put the special order directly on a “buyer’s list,” allowing your buyers to find the best price before issuing the purchase order. When you add special orders within a sale, the system automatically calculates deposit amounts and creates a special order transaction. With the Special Order Viewer, you can easily view the details of the order, including customer contact, order date, due date, and how many have been received. You can also track salesperson information and add special order items to your inventory file for future sales tracking. When the order arrives, the receiving department can add notes to each special order, including warehouse location codes. The system automatically prints pick tickets notifying you that the items are ready for pickup.
