  2. 2. Main objective: <ul><ul><li>Setting a common work line between teachers of primary and secondary school. </li></ul></ul>
  3. 3. Working method: <ul><ul><li>Working meetings between primary school and secondary school teachers. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Decide common learning strategies of students and innovation activities . </li></ul></ul>
  4. 4. Participating teachers: <ul><ul><li>6th course teachers (last course of primary school). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>1st ESO teachers (first course of secondary school). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Other teachers involved in certain activities or projects. </li></ul></ul>

In the last 3 years: <ul><ul><li>Strategies: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Decide how / what kind of / how much general students information should be transferred between p-s school. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Decide how / what kind of / how much specific students information should be transferred between p-s school (ex: “AA students”). </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Performing our own diagnostic tests of basic knowledge (math and language) of students in 6th primary course. </li></ul></ul></ul>
  6. 6. In the last 3 years: <ul><ul><li>Innovation activities for students: </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Making a digital journal . </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Making internet radio programs . </li></ul></ul></ul>

Method (Internet Radio Programs): <ul><ul><li>“ AA” secondary school students and 1st ESO students make and upload an internet radio program to invite 6th course primary school students to visit school. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Before the visit , 6th course primary school students listen to the programs in their own schools. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>During the visit , they collect information of the secondary school and interview teachers and students. </li></ul></ul>
  8. 8. Method (Internet Radio Programs): <ul><ul><li>After the visit , they make and upload a “returning program” where they explain how the visit was </li></ul></ul>
  9. 9. Significant learnings: <ul><ul><li>Written language : Writing the radio program screenplay. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Oral language : Reading news & interviews (screenplay). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Technology Area : Recording program </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Computer. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Sound Mixer machine </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>“ Audacity” (program) </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Uploading on the internet (blog) </li></ul></ul></ul>

Results: <ul><ul><li>Students improve : </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Their written language ( writing screenplay program ). </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Their spoken language ( rehearsing and recording program ). </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Students learn : </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>To adapt their language to different situations. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>To find information and use technology systems (computer, mixer and internet web/blog). </li></ul></ul></ul>
  11. 11. Prospects and future improvement: <ul><ul><li>Consolidated activity between primary an secondary school. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Primary and secondary schools will be able to make their own “subjects radio programs” (history programs, science programs, news…) </li></ul></ul>
