  2. 2. WHEN? <ul>Americans celebreted thanksgiving in november. It has been an annual event in some states since 1.680 and a national holiday since 1.863 </ul>
  3. 3. TRADITION It was originally a day when people celebrated the end of the harvest and thanked God for it .
  4. 4. ........ <ul>The first celebration was held by colonists in Massachussetts in 1.621 because they wanted to give thanks for their first harvest and the end of the horrible 1.620 winter! The Native Americans helped them that winter, so the colonists sent invitations to them. </ul>
