Who would be the audience for your media product?
• When researching existing magazines I firstly wanted to attract mainly male audiences. However, as I found there where no music magazines with a larger female audience than male, I decided to create one. I decided to aim my magazine at 16-25 year old females who enjoy all kinds of rock music. This was due to my research of NME magazine which was extremely popular in my survey results. They are in the ABC1 category and mainly students with disposable income.
Audience Profile• Sarah is a 19 year old girl from Manchester studying fashion at university. She loves all kinds of rock music and when she’s not listening to it she’s attending live shows and gigs, or checking up on the latest artists online or in a magazine.• It is very noticeable that she is heavily influenced by rock music. Her sense of style, views and actions are influenced by rock and she is an inspirational individual to others. She spends her income on socialising, attending live music events, buying the latest fashion or new rock albums. She is free minded, rebellious and is very opinionated.
