British hip hop digipack analysis

  1. 1. British Hip Hop Digipack Analysis
  2. 2. Split prophets digipack• The front cover of the digipack shows a piece of paper titled “scribbled thoughts”. The title of the album clearly shows the genre, as Hip hop artists tend to write lyrics as they think them: they are their own thoughts. The title is also written in graffiti style emphasising the hip hop genre. There is a microphone in the background and pens showing the basic objects they need to sing. The back cover is plain with a dark grey background typical of the British hip hop genre. At the bottom it says Bristols finest, split prophets logo and esm, a clothing company that sells split prophets merchandise. These logo’s are all written in graffiti style emphasising the British hip hop genre.
  3. 3. The Streets Digipack• The Streets are another British hip hop group. The album cover is of a council estate tower block. This shows the stereotypical environment of British hip hop artists.
