  4. 4. Yevgeny Yevtushenko is a Russian poet, teacher, novelist, essayist, dramatist and director of several films. In 1961, he wrote Babi Yar which denounced the Soviet distortion of historical fact regarding the Nazi massacre of the Jewish population.
