Daimler’s ecosystem supporting the electric school bus
Route Analysis – determining which routes are optimal for the electric school bus. Thomas/Daimler EMG have resources to assist customers with determining the best routes.
Economic Feasibility – Review TCO of the battery school bus, reduced maintenance cost (no engine related maintenance for; oil, filters, belts…etc)
Financial Services – Funding and grant writing assistance to customers. Vehicle and potentially battery leasing programs. DTF is developing finance products to support EV and charger purchases.
Infrastructure Development – Networking and working with local utility company, site and desk reviews, permitting, contractor bidding, construction management, charger commissioning and lastly vehicle/charger commissioning. Charger selection review.

Target bus route for electric bus is 30-80 miles, morning and evening route
Quick charges may be needed in between routes, DC fast charging support the operations. Longer charging in the evening and early morning.
