Notes on Registration as a COACH:<br />Following your successful Registration as a COACH you will receive a welcome to ROCS email.<br />Please make a note of your USER NAME and PASSWORD and remember they are case sensitive!<br />Following your Registration as a COACH you will be able to register the appropriate number of teams and individuals for each component. <br />It is recommended that you notify your district’s Technology Department that you will be participating in our online registration system. Please request them to allow access to port 8081<br />

Enter your personal information<br />When finished , click the ‘Save’ button.<br />After completing these steps you will be able to register within your Affiliate. <br /> Note: the user name and password you enter are both case sensitive.   16. 16. How to Register<br />1. To register, click on the ‘Program Registrations’ link.<br />Click the ‘New Registration’ link located on the right hand side of the screen.<br />
  17. 17. How to Register<br /><ul><li>Enter your information on the registration form.
  18. 18. If your school district/school does not exist, you may add it by clicking the appropriate button.
  19. 19. The components offered by the Texas FPSP are on the registration form.
  20. 20. Click on the ‘Register’ button in the lower right hand corner. This submits your Registration to the Texas FPSP office for approval.</li></li></ul><li>Additional Info on Registration:<br /><ul><li>After your have completed the registration form you can PRINT the page to use as a check request for your school/district. You will also be sent a confirmation email that can be used as an invoice after you click the “Register” button on the bottom left of the page.
  21. 21. Please note: </li></ul>WE CANNOT ACCEPT PURCHASE ORDERS!<br /><ul><li> Until we receive payment (in the form of a check) for your registration we will NOT be able to give you access to registration materials.

  24. 24. Once a registration has been approved the coach is able to assign students to a component.</li></li></ul><li>Assigning Students: Passwords<br /><ul><li>As the coach you will create a USER NAME and PASSWORD for each student competing in Global Issues or Scenario.
  25. 25. We highly recommend using something simple with a universal format for all of your participants.
  26. 26. Passwords are case sensitive, so consistency is advised!
  27. 27. Be sure to check your district’s Acceptable Use Policy- some districts have requirements regarding the assignment of User Names and Passwords! </li></li></ul><li>Assigning Students<br /><ul><li>Click on Global Issues PS icon and then on Approved Registrations

  35. 35. Chill Out, We’ve Got You Covered <br /><ul><li> Just as in the past, coaches will be able to make changes to teams, add teams, etc. as the year progresses!
  36. 36. To give your students lots of “playtime” and practice, we recommend that coaches register as soon as possible!
  37. 37. One of the coolest features of ROCS is the ability for students to chat with their teammates during competition! </li></li></ul><li>ROCS-STARS, Start Your Engines…<br /><ul><li> Since this is our first time to attempt online competitions in GIPS, PP#1 will NOT be timed!
  38. 38. Your students can work on this booklet as long as they need up until the deadline of October 4, 2011.
