  7. 7. In today’s market, consumers are keen on the products they buy. They don’t just settle for a common offer being laid to them in the market but seeks for products that are new and enticing. Thus, making the consumers today detail oriented and seeks for innovation. BAMA Gaufre is a new innovative product which concept is come from the waffle, but it has been laid with a twist. The name BAMA is a rooted from its two main raw materials of the product. The Banana for BA and Mango for MA. Furthermore, Gaufre is a French word of waffle that is pronounced as “Goof”. The concept of the product is to steamed waffle instead in cooking it in a waffle iron, and the fruits will serve as the filling of the product. By the use of the abundance of our local products here in Mindanao, particularly the Banana and Mango, BAMA Gaufre will be the newest innovation in the waffle industry. Subsequent to disseminating the survey questionnaire, we found out more than 62% of the respondents is willing to try the BAMA Gaufre. Moreover, a majority of 77% said they eat the prime raw materials in the product. These implicates the product is marketable specifically here in Capitol University since the sources of the data are the students of the aforementioned institution. In the aspect of competition, two major outlets here in Cagayan de Oro has already offered various flavors of waffle yet, these chain of waffle stores have not yet offered a steamed waffle similar to our product. However, these two are still considered as major competitors given that we are deal the same industry,
  8. 8. More so, each partner will contribute Php 6,6667.67 each as an initial investment to have a total needed capital of Php 60,000.00. The group has its starting sales of Php 100,800.00 for the first years but has a subsequent increase of 10% to 15% for the following years. As a final point, the group considered the CU Food Court to introduce our product.
