  2. 2. Toulouse • -It’s called the « pink city » because of all the bricks used for the buildings. • -About 450,000 inhabitants.

  6. 6. Toulouse II – Le Mirail • - Le Mirail is where you go if you want to study arts, languages, social sciences, music, etc. • -About 23,000 students.
  7. 7. • -When students are unhappy with the government they go on strike and « block » the university.
  8. 8. Rugby • -In the South, especially the South West, rugby is more popular then football (soccer). • -The team from Toulouse is called the « Stade Toulousain ».
  9. 9. Rabastens • -About 6,000 inhabitants. • -We’re called « rabastinois ». • -We were already around during Roman times.
  10. 10. Notre-Dame du Bourg • -Built in the 12th century, then rebuilt in the 13th century after the war with the « Albigeois ». • -On the Unesco list because of all the paintings inside.
  11. 11. • -This wine called « Tarani », is made is my town. The legend says the Romans were already producing it 2,000 years ago.
