2. Introduction
 As a senior security consultant with Verizon
Communications in Basking Ridge, New Jersey,
Emblez Longoria protects all company assets,
including communications systems and sensitive
information. When away from work, Emblez
Longoria has donated his time and effort to several
charitable organizations, including The Salvation
Army.
The Salvation Army works extensively to help adults
get their lives back on track if they can no longer
help themselves. For more than a century, it has
operated its Adult Rehabilitation Centers to provide
men and women with a chance at healthy,
productive lives. These programs offer housing,
work, group therapy, and individual therapy in a
safe environment, and generally encourage
participants to return to their families and resume
normal lives. They also encourage participants to
build personal relationships with God and Jesus
Christ.
Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers are
funded through the organization's family thrift
stores. Many of the services offered at Adult
Rehabilitation Centers require the assistance of
volunteers, who donate their time to ensure people
who turn to The Salvation Army for help can again
lead normal and productive lives.
