Exhortation

  1. 1. A LIFE WORTH LIVING EXHORTATIONS (encouragements, urgings, appeals)
  2. 2. 1. Be agreeable Philippians 4:2 (NIV) 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord.
  3. 3. Romans 12:18 (NIV) 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
  4. 4. 2. Be joy filled Philippians 4:4 (NIV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! "Joy is the serious business of Heaven." C. S. Lewis

Be alert to your thought life Philippians 4:8 (NIV) 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Philippians 4:8 (MSG) 8 Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious —the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.
