  4. 4. Sprained ankle: Is theoverstretching/damaging of ligamentssurrounding the ankle.Lisfranc joint injury: Is caused bythe connection of the metatarsalbones (long bones that lead up to thetoes) and the tarsal bones (bones inthe arch).Calf muscle strain: Occurs due toexcessive stretching of muscle fibres.
  5. 5. Shin pain: Occurs due to running, particularly at the inside border of the shin bone.ACL knee injury: Is a knee- stabilising ligament that’s irritated when the knee is bent and a hard landing occurs.Torn cartilage: Functions as a friction preventor, so when the knee is bent and a sudden twist occurs a tear happens.
