  • Over 100 million people use ‘online’ to share health experiences online 40% of Google traffic is health-related 75% of people search for medical information online before visits 78% of internet users read blogs 20% of people use Facebook and Twitter for healthcare information 3.5 million people become fans of Facebook pages every day 23 million people downloaded healthcare related pod and video casts last year 50% of UK GPs say social media has an important role to play in the future of patient management

  • 500 social enterprises surveyed in March. 64% said that social media boosted their bottom line by over 15% in the past year. They all approached it like a commercial business. Mulberry story.
