Michael's presentation

 1. 1.

Impressionism - a movement in art, created in France, in the second half nineteenth centuries. Impressionism - double revolution in painting: in vision of the world and in picturesque techniques. In painting impressionism - the world moving, escaping, therefore accent - for this leaving instant, on the present. The impressionism prefers light, color vibration.

 2. 2.

Impressionists - pioneers and founders of the modern art. They have established a direct communication between an eye of the painter and light. From here - movement of return to the nature which is a source of all impressions. At the same time - absolute trust to subjective vision of the artist and his individuality. These two ways provided the European art down to the middle of the twentieth century.

 3. 3.

Eduard Manet

23 January 1832 – 30 April 1883

 4. 4.

Manet's huge desire to become the painter was not accepted by his father as he designated to him career of the lawyer. However owing to uncle Edmundu he attended special painting lessons where he had already started to show aspiration to depart from classical borders of art. After Manet opened for himself the Louvre that has rendered crucial influence on his life.

 5. 5.

Manet was from affluent family so he had an opportunity to draw and to travel without caring about that how to earn. He visited Brazil, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and each place rendered on him as on the artist the certain influence. So in 1858 Manet got popularity as the promising artist.

 6. 7.

In 1863 Manet dares to exhibit the best works in gallery, but it was a big failure - pictures met the uttermost aversion of public and the senior counterparts, even jury rejected pictures. Since this moment the rejected Manet teamed up with group of young artists , Claude Monet, Edgar Degar and others which will be soon named as impressionists.

 7. 13.

Manet didn't follow by ideas of impressionists or someone another, but memoirs of failures forced Manet to work hard, the aspiration to a recognition resided to him since child years. And only in 1879 galleries estimated persistence of the artist and admitted some of his pictures. In September of the same year Manet had problems with health and appeared that he is sick with ataxia - derangements of coordination of movements. Illness quickly progressed, limiting creative opportunities of the artist. Overcoming illness, Manet painted last big oil picture <Bar “ Folies - Bergier " >, in 1882. These years Manet at last earned a recognition of his talent - even from, those who all life were in opposition. In April, 30th, 1883 he died.
