Planed and implemented the new network design for a huge customer move (hundred of users moving at a time), at TD and FCP Towers in Toronto as well as some regional offices. This move involved planning and implementing new network infrastructure, changing IP-addressing and firewall rules and dealing with vendors to order new circuits. Act as technical resource in projects, work closely with members of the project team and provide input in design process, review network design and implementation plan. WAN Engineers, 2000- 2002 Nortel Networks, Toronto Managed Nortel’s Global Core & Internet Network, (Hundreds of Cisco / Nortel router and switches) Created a Remote Access/ Client Server Lab Environment for customer solution, hence reducing the new service turn around time and saving the company thousands of dollar in revenue. Successfully designed and implemented 2 new Internet POPs for regional Nortel offices, providing faster Internet service as well as local DMZ environment for evaluating new products and services for Nortel customers. This task resulted in increase customer satisfaction and cut the product delivery time by half. Reduced annual expenses by $400K, through careful planning and circuit elimination. Recommended cost cutting measures by use of VPN, resulting in $15-$25k of saving per site. Network Specialists, 1996 – 2000 Nortel Networks, Toronto Reduced the long distant/ 1-800 yearly calling charges by $800K, through leading a team of Engineers in implementing Nortel’s first Global VPN infrastructure for Teleworking users. Worked with a team of engineers to role out Secure-ID for over 35,000 remote access users globally and were able to achieve this goal one month ahead of schedule. Implemented a VPDN setup for ISP dialup and broadband Internet access using L2TP as the tunneling protocol and PPPoE as DSL access method. Assisted Nortel's Sales force with RFPs and provided technical input and pricing to win new contracts. Administered the Stealbealt Radius server as well as the Nortel/Shiva Remote Access servers for dialup and ISDN based remote access/ home base users. Telecom Verification Engineer, 1991 – 1993 Nortel Networks, Toronto Successfully completed the testing and verification of 3 major product lines from BNR and by doing so helped to improve product quality and stability. Studied new DMS telephone switch system designs and documented appropriate test cases for system evaluation in the Nortel Brampton Lab environment. Prepared system boards with actual hardware faults for testing in the lab with DMS running with simulated traffic from the traffic generators. Data filled the DMS systems and prepare them for test execution and verification. 3
