Nowadays Educational institutions and
organizations are concerned about
regularity of student and employees in
schools and organizations . Mainly there are
two conventional methods of mark in
attendance which are calling out the roll call
or by taking student sign on paper . They
both were more time consuming and
difficult. Hence, there is acquirement of
computer-based student attendance
management system which will assist the
faculty for maintaining attendance record
automatically.
An automated attendance system consists
of a web application system for entire
colleges or organizations to record
attendance. This is an application capable of
performing two major tasks identifying a
perason based on key parameters and
verifying their identity and authorization
using a database..

4. INTODUCTION
A facial recognition system is a technology capable of matching a human face
from a digital image or a video frame against a database of faces. Such a
system is typically employed to authenticate users through ID verification
services , and works by pinpointing and measuring facial features from a
given image. Development began on similar systems in the 1960s, beginning
as a form of computer application. Since their inception, facial recognition
systems have seen wider uses in recent times on smartphones and in other
forms of technology, such as robotics. Because computerized facial
recognition involves the measurement of a human's physiological
characteristics, facial recognition systems are categorized as biometrics.
Although the accuracy of facial recognition systems as a biometric
technology is lower than iris recognition and fingerprint recognition, it is
widely adopted due to its contactless process. Facial recognition systems
have been deployed in advanced human–computer interaction, video
surveillance and automatic indexing of images

 Using this we can detect multiple faces at the same time or
apply attendance.
 Face recognition systems can also be used to track attendance
in schools, colleges, and companies
 it can prevent unauthorized individuals from entering your
office or colleges
 It is faster and more convenient compared to other biometric
technologies like fingerprints or retina scans.

6. HOW IT WORKS

7.  face recognition it validating a person by performing comparisons on
patterns based on their facial appearances
 this system Open CV & Face Recognition libraries were used
 by using these libraries system first capturing the student photos and
storing them into the database which were further used for the training
purpose.
 After that system will encode all the images that were present in the
database as well as the face which were detected in the frame.
 each face 128 measurements were generated then the measurements
that were present in the image which is earlier stored in the database. of
the face that were detected in frame it get compared with the
measurements of the faces
 by using algorithm system will find the person in database of know
peoples who has closest measurements to the image that were detect the
camera.
 After finding perfect match system will generate the name and date &
time & present mark and show them in website

This Website is both cost-effective and efficient when
contrasted to other biometric solutions. The cost and
time saved are even larger because the data acquired
from the face recognition attendance system is accurate
in real-time. Because the overall process is automated,
human intervention is limited
