His biography <ul><li>Salvador Dalí was born in 1904 in Figueres. </li></ul><ul><li>He studied in Escola Municipal de Dibuix in Figueres in 1916 and in 1920 he went to Madrid and studied in Escuela de Bellas Artes . </li></ul><ul><li>In 1922 he received his first award with his work Mercat . </li></ul><ul><li>His friends were Luis Buñuel, Federico García lorca, Pedro Garfias, Eugenio Montes and Pepin Bello. </li></ul><ul><li>Federico Garcia Lorca spent his holidays with him in Cadaques in 1925. </li></ul><ul><li>He visited Paris for first time in 1926 and he met Picasso Picasso. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1927 it was observed that his works were among the first to have surrealist influences. </li></ul>
  2. 3. <ul><li>Dalí met Gala in 1929 in Cadaqués. </li></ul><ul><li>He did two films with Buñuel. The two fils are Un chien andalou and L’âge d’or. </li></ul><ul><li>He worked in a screenplay for the film Giraffes on Horseback Salad with the brothers Marx and Harpo. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1945 he worked with Alfred Hitchcock , an important Hollywood director, in the film Spellbound </li></ul><ul><li>He married Gala in 1934. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1964 Dalí won “la Gran Creu d’Isabel la Catòlica”. In Toquio Mainichi Newspapers organized a big retrospective and Mainichi travelled to different Japan countries. Éditions de la Table Ronde to publish Journal d’un génie </li></ul><ul><li>In 1969, Salvador Dalí bought the castle Púbol and he decorated the castle for Gala. </li></ul><ul><li>Salvador Dalí died on 23 January in 1989 in Torre Galatea. </li></ul>
