Some of these concepts are discussed in detail in Mike Dillard’s“Magnetic Sponsoring”, who is regarded as the Father of Attraction Marketingfor Network Marketers.Contrary to what people think, attraction is not a choice. It is deep within thehuman emotion, and it has been with us since the beginning.In the past, humans lived in groups or tribes to survive. These groups typicallyhave a chief, or leader, whose primary responsibility is to protect the people, andin return the people would follow him.They do this until they gain skills to survive on their own.This survival instinct has always been with us, and to some extent we still live likethis. Employees follow the CEO, family members follow the head of the house.In the past, people follow the leader with physical attributes.Now, followers gravitate towards people who are popular, business leaders,wealthy or authorities in certain areas.Basically, people who are above the norm.We are instinctively attracted or un-attracted to people based on the value theyhave, because we gain some of that value through association. This is a verypowerful concept to understand.Think about it, if you are lazy and a constant complainer, do you think you’llattract the right business people? Alphas – They are the Chiefs, the Leaders, the Tycoons and the Attracters. 2. Pre-Alphas – They are the up-and-coming Alphas. They exhibit the qualities of an Alpha. They are starting to take responsibilities and lead others. 3. Betas – They are the followers, usually with little confidence and not much to offer to others. These are the people who blame everyone and everything for their lack of success.Think about companies. The Betas are the Staff. The Pre-Alphas are theManagers, and the Alphas are the CEO’s.The differences in wealth between Betas and Alphas are vast.Which type are you?If you are a Beta or Pre-Alpha, fortunately, we are not destined to be stuck there.You have the power to choose to be an Alpha.Which type you will ultimately be in will be determined by 2 things: 1. Your State-Of-Mind (Belief). 2. Your willingness to acquire the Knowledge and Skills to be an Alpha.It’s not determined by your money, your current education, your status or others.Only YOU can decide where you want to be. LEARN | TEACH | SUCCEEDYour State-Of-Mind or Belief needs to be strong and clear.Your belief has to hold up to challenges and criticism by others.You have to truly believe in what you are doing and the path you are taking.But make sure what you are doing and the path you choose results in addingvalue to yourself and to others.The only way for you to offer value to others is to add value to yourself.You cannot teach what you haven’t learned.So, you need to be an avid student. Learn all you can about what you arepursuing.When a prospect is looking to join a Network Marketing company, they arelooking for someone who can guide, teach and mentor them to where they wantto go.If you can’t offer that, they will go with someone who can.Your goal is to become an Alpha.You will have to work hard, you will have to struggle a bit, and you will have topush your comfort zone, but you really have no choice. “There is no such thing as a Beta leader, only Alpha leaders.”With that been said, every business need Betas.Alphas are not born. They are created. You cannot become a teacher withoutfirst being a student.How fast you go from Beta to Alpha depends on you. You may take 6 months, 1year, 5 years, even 10 years.No matter how long, it is a goal worth achieving, because your whole life willchange, not just your business, and the world will be thankful for it. That means there aremillions of people doing the same thing.What are they all doing?They are all promoting their company, product and opportunity on the front-end.There is really no value in that. Prospects can just go to the company website andget the same information.To a prospect, you are just another typical networker trying to push youropportunity on them.You need to find out the needs, wants and desires of your prospects first, andthen provide the solution in form of your opportunity, products or services.This will differentiate you from typical networker. Only byknowing their inner mind can you know the fear, pain, need, desires andfantasies of your prospects.Here are some human psychology basics: 1. Most people are lazy 2. Everything we do, we do to gain pleasure or avoid pain. 3. Research has shown that human will pay twice as much to avoid pain as get pleasure. So, uncovering pain is twice as effective. 4. If you help people avoid loss, alleviate fear, solve problems and relief pain, then they have no choice but be attracted to you. 5. People would learn how to do things, but most will never actually do it. 6. People are attracted to people who have things they don’t have. 7. People don’t like to be sold, but they love to BUY. 8. Ultimately, people dont care about you, your product, your opportunity or anything else. When they do pay attention to those things, its only to increase their chances of getting benefits, results, solutions, relief.With the understanding human emotions and human psychology you will be ableto effectively market your business, products or services.If you can do that, then you will be above 99% of the industry. If you ask them,they’ll say, “everyone, right?”.No, not really.People usually call this a “shot gun” approach. It can work, but you’ll likely havelots of collateral damage.This is one of the biggest mistake new networkers make when they start aNetwork Marketing business.I don’t blame them, because most of us were taught the same thing…”tryeverything you can to get everyone you know, and often times strangers,interested or not, to a presentation”.Not everyone wants to start a business, no matter how great you think it is, orhow much you think it will benefit them.If you have done everything and put in the efforts and still have no success, thenit may not be your fault.The fault is in the techniques and tricks that are taught by the old-schoolnetworkers.These networkers will point to many reasons why you failed…not working hardenough, not having a big enough “Why”, not having enough products, not attendenough meetings, etc, etc…In most cases, people do honestly put in their best effort to build a successfulbusiness, otherwise they wouldn’t have started in the first place.But the truth is if you don’t have “thick-skin” determination, your chance ofsuccess is very small when you follow old-school methods. Trust me, not everyone wants tostart a Network Marketing business, or any business, for that matter. “This is a Network (People) Marketing business.”So, knowing your market (people), and knowing who is RIGHT for this business,should be one of your top prioritiesSo, one of your strategies is to understand your Target Market.Who are they?You only want those who are looking to change their lives and create freedom,and willing to put the effort to succeed.Attracting these types of people should be your primary focus.Basically, you want those with an entrepreneur mindset.So, how do you attract these people?You need to get into their minds and know the reasons why they would ASK YOUto join your business.You have to get to the point where they are chasing you to join, not you chasingthem. LEARN | TEACH | SUCCEEDSTRATEGY 4: CREATE AN ONLINE PRESENCENetwork Marketing, just like any other business, is constantly evolving.After about century, the industry is starting to mature and is gaining world-widecredibility as a feasible business model.I believe there will be more changes in the next 20 year than the past 100 years.This is happening not only in Network Marketing, but in all industries.The catalysts for the changes are Technology and the Internet.Because of the Internet, information is widely available for free, which meansnetworkers are becoming more and more educated.In order to attract and compete with these new breed of networkers, you willhave to increase your knowledge of the online world.There has been an explosion of networkers online in recent years.If you are not using the Internet to connect with people, you are at a hugedisadvantage.At the time of this writing there are 2.1 billion internet users worldwide, 800million active users on Facebook and 300 million active users on Twitter. You aremissing out on this massive audience if you are not online.Consider this scenario:You did a presentation to a prospect. He seems excited but wanted to think itover. Usually, what that really means is…he will go online and do some research.While online, he comes across another distributor who has already brandedhimself online, and offers to teach all who joins him about having an onlinepresence, and since you have no knowledge of online, you’ll probably lose thisprospect.Those who have an online presence are perceived to have a higher value thanthose who don’t. LEARN | TEACH | SUCCEEDOf course, there are right ways and wrong ways when connecting with peopleonline….and most people do it wrong.Just remember this rule: “Don’t pitch your opportunity, products or services unless that person gives you permission”What do I mean by that?Here is what most people do: they start bombarding others about how greattheir company is, how much money they can make, how great their products are,etc, etc… DON’T DO THIS!You’ll be label a spammer, and it’s the quickest way to repel people.Just like offline, you need to build the relationship first. This is especiallyimportant online. Remember, people don’t know who is on the other side. Theyneed to first trust you before they listen to you.The best way to build trust is by providing valuable content. Content that helpssolve their problems.If, let say, someone opted-in on your blog or messaged you on Facebook aboutwhat you do, then you can start promoting. But do it in a way that providessolutions to their problems. The focus should be on them, not you.Here is a good tip regarding social media, like Facebook.Facebook is like a “coffee shop”. People go there to socialize, check out pictures,see what their friends are up to, and just simply “hang out”. You wouldn’t go toStarbucks and start pitching your business to everyone you see, right? Marketing 2. TrainingYou will need to develop an automated Marketing System that will generateleads on autopilot. This system should also filter and sort your prospects, soyou’ll only attract the most qualify candidates.At the very least, training such as company profile, products, compensation plan,back office, and presentation, needs to be automated through online videos. Ifyou are in an area where internet connection is not good, then use DVD’s.Most companies have training in their back office, but I recommend you createyour own. This adds a personal touch, which allows you to start buildingrelationship with your team.People want to see the leaders they are working with.If you have these 2 automated systems in place, you will have no troubleattracting leaders from other companies.Think about it, if a leader want to move 1,000 people to your team, do you thinkhe would like the idea of training these people all over again?Big leaders want systems their teams can plug into and get results fast, whichallows them to build a bigger business. The turning point of my Network Marketing business is a result of Mike’s teachings. 2. Sign up for MyLeadSystemPro. MLSP is the world’s most prestigious Internet Network Marketing System. If you want to fast track your online presence, in my opinion, this is the best. There are literally 100’s of training videos, ranging from mindset, prospecting, blogging, marketing, internet marketing, lead generation (online and offline)…pretty much everything you need to build a successful business using Technology and the Internet, as well as offline methods. If I had signed up with them earlier, I would have saved so much time. You can try the system out for less than 10 USD.Only 2 action items?Well, yes. Don’t underestimate these 2 action items. These 2 resources haveliterally transformed the Network Marketing industry in the last 5 years.Your goal is not to learn everything out there. It is to deeply focus on thoseteachings and resources that will help you build a solid foundation.One of my mistakes was constantly looking for the next new thing. You’ll be wasting time and money, and you’ll likely be so overwhelmedthat you will give up.Find resources that work, and master them.
