+ Pros of iPads iPads are changing the way students learn in the classroom.
+ More efficient than textbooks… Thekids will not have to carry around pounds and pounds of textbooks. Instead, they could put them all on the iPad because Apple teamed up with many book companies such as Mcgraw Hill and Pearson. Textbooksout-date very quickly when iPads can update in just minutes.
+ More efficient than textbooks... The iPad inspires creativity and hands- on learning with features you will not find in any other educational tool. Ithas powerful built-in apps and apps from the App Store that help students engage with content in interactive ways.
+ More efficient than textbooks… Students are able to find information instantly, and access an entire library wherever they go. With the introduction of Multi-touch textbooks, iPad takes learning to a whole new level.
+ Case Study Thefollowing study shows how iPads are helping the students in the classroom. At Euclid High School they conducted an experiment and split the class into 2 groups where one group had iPads and the other did not. Thestudents without the iPads did poorly on assignments compared to the students that received an iPad.
+ Case Study Students with the iPads: Connected more with teachers because they played fun games for vocabulary. Scored better on literacy tests. Wrote lengthier papers because it was more interesting than hand writing the paper.
+ Pros.. Overall,the iPad increased the students motivation to learn and should be available in all classrooms.
