Environmental Factors <ul><li>They have a big oil company that is called Statoil which employs many people. </li></ul><ul><li>Lysefjorden is popular for hiking. </li></ul><ul><li>The coastline is breathtaking for its beauty and many tourists and locals visit Kjerag a very popular location for BASE-jumping . </li></ul><ul><li>They also have an alpine center for skiers and snowboarding which is close to the city Stavanger. </li></ul><ul><li>The Stavanger Museum and the Norwegian Petroleum Museum </li></ul><ul><li>are famous throughout the country. </li></ul><ul><li>Fishing used to be the number one industry in Stavanger but now it is oil. </li></ul>

Historical Factors <ul><li>Stavanger grow in to a centre of church around 1100–1300. </li></ul><ul><li>it was used for a shipping and military base. </li></ul><ul><li>they used Stavanger as a military base in the World war 1 and 2. </li></ul><ul><li>they had nice churches because it’s a religion center. </li></ul><ul><li>The battle of Hafrsfjord was the lasted battle agented the Vikings to union Norway to one kingdom </li></ul>

Statistical Information <ul><li>Stavanger is the 3 rd largest city in Norway with a population of about 125000. </li></ul><ul><li>It has the longest growing season in Norway. </li></ul><ul><li>Median age is about 40 years old. </li></ul><ul><li>Life expectancy is 24 th highest in the world at 79 for men and 82 for women. </li></ul>

Current Information <ul><li>Stavanger host the beach volleyball SWATCH FIVB World Championship. </li></ul><ul><li>Stavanger has the largest local football teams called the Viking Fk. </li></ul><ul><li>Stavanger has a high percentage of university educated persons, with 31.3% of those above the age of 16 having higher education, like the national at 24.2%. </li></ul><ul><li>Stavanger has some International schools like British International School of Stavanger and the International School of Stavanger. </li></ul><ul><li>Third largest city in Norway. </li></ul><ul><li>Transport use local bus called Kulumbus.  </li></ul><ul><li>For public rail way called Sørlandsbanen railway.  </li></ul><ul><li>Local ferries go to Tau and Kvitsøy . </li></ul><ul><li>Fast passage boats that go to villages and islands. </li></ul>
