  2. 2. INTRO<br />The Laffite Corridor currently <br />A three mile long plane of land <br />Abandoned industrial area <br />Breeding ground for stray animals and mosquitoes<br />
  3. 3. Lafitte and Friends<br />Friends of the Lafitte corridor started with twelve people hiking the trail in 2006 and the last hike had over 200 participants.<br />Imagine how much more interest will grow once work has begun.<br />

Summary<br />We feel that the activities proposed will keep the children off the street.<br />It will remove the abandoned buildings and beautify the area.<br />It will provide a tourist attraction.<br />It will attract businesses and more money for the city.<br />It will help attract sponsors for further development.<br />
