  1. 1. Introduction to the Adventurous Journey Section
  2. 2. “ Life is either a daring adventure or nothing” Helen Keller, American blind and deaf activist
  3. 3. To encourage a spirit of adventure and discovery whilst undertaking a journey in a group
  4. 4. Your Expedition This will be a journey – on foot - with a clear purpose
  5. 5. The Requirements <ul><li>Clearly defined purpose </li></ul><ul><li>Appropriate skills and sufficient practice </li></ul><ul><li>Groups of 4-7 participants </li></ul><ul><li>All involved in planning and preparation </li></ul><ul><li>Accommodation should be in portable tents (or other basic huts / shelters) </li></ul><ul><li>The environment must be unfamiliar </li></ul><ul><li>The group should complete a post-expedition report </li></ul><ul><li>The journey will be 2 days, 1 night long (Bronze) with 6 hours purposeful effort per day </li></ul><ul><li>Total distance covered should be around 24km (guidance only) </li></ul>
